Holiday Gifting for the Jamisons
Tis the season to be jolly… Or at-least that’s what the song says, while most or us are frantic, stressed and ready to take a BREAK!
I am definitely all of the aforementioned adjectives in regards to what tis season is. But I wanted to stop through and share with you all what Holiday Gifting looks like in the Jamison Household.
I have definitely learned some valuable lessons, identified what traditions we want to adopt long term, and what we can and will actively leverage the Plan, Do, Check and Adjust (PDCA) Cycle with. Some things take a bit tweaking before they naturally feel right.
So read my latest blog entry and let me know what #HolidayGifting rules/standards you have set for your household.

Women are SEXUAL Beings Too!
It's National Women’s Equality Day and yeah there is a lot of inequalities in regards to gender norms. This day was established in an era when women (not US) got their right to vote. I didn't want to bore you guys with a rant on the pay gap, the patriarchal roles of the family, the mansplaining or some other well documented problem in gender equality today. Nah, it was on my heart to let both women and men know....
Women are SEXUAL beings too! If you don't know me, you bout to get a deep dive in the fact that I don't believe in not getting my nut. Well not anymore. I know better. Ya'll tap into my most recent blog entry on this issue and let me know...

Ibiza Blue... Why NOT Watermelon?
Today I’m blue, Ibiza blue in fact, saddened because of the self realization that a simple picture brought to light. A friend posted this picture in our group chat and asked for initial thoughts. My initial thought was “country”.
The picture immediately evoked a reminder of my childhood… my grandmother cutting a ripe watermelon from her garden for me, my brother, and cousins, to eat as we sat on her front porch on a hot summer day. As soon as that memory came to mind, I also followed up with this disclaimer “… but I wouldn’t post this picture from my childhood memory, due to the negative imagery of Blacks eating watermelon.”
My statement is what caused the self analysis and resulting blues. Tap into the link in my bio to finish reading my blog post about my self reflection and moment of 'Reclaiming My Time' as Auntie Maxine boldly stated.

Let’s Normalize Moms not Momming on Mother’s Day
Happy Mother's Day to All! 💮
This year I was nearing an exhaustion so my request for MDay celebration was for SPACE. I just wanted to be left alone. Which got me to thinking... Why is it so taboo for mom's to not mom on Mother's Day?

Can Black Women have Black Only Spaces?
I am decompressing from Easter weekend and the regular woes of life and
*takes looooong sip of wine*
I am wondering why Black women can't have safe spaces?
This is REALLY relevant now that I'm taking my blogging Life Work full-time. As we all know social media has become a platform to curate spaces for just about anything. You can have a page or group dedicated to moms of furry babies, moms that breastfeed, Black moms that breastfeed, etc. I have seen groups for people living with fibromyalgia and those who want to learn about essentials oils and living with fibromyalgia.
In those spaces, people generally respect the rules of engagement. Usually within these spaces, especially for groups, the person(s) that created the space has a list of questions that you must answer in order to join the group. Most groups labeled “Black” come with a clear question of 'Are you Black/African American/African descent?'
